The Demand Data Team is a new group created to drive strategic adoption of technology, acquisition and nurturing of data as well as identifying opportunities for new data-driven lines of businesses. The team is comprised primarily of experienced operating leaders from different areas of expertise in technology, data-driven publishing and marketing and other varied domains.
The Demand Data team is looking to hire a General Manager to drive the entire strategic and tactical initiatives for the entire team. You will be responsible for owning both operational and new commercial opportunities leveraging from our existing or new technology and data pool. You will own projects from the idea generation, gathering data, driving insights, and making strategic recommendations to impact the business. This role will have real impact in transforming how Pure Incubation operates and strategizes growth based on its core strength that is harnessing data driven decisions.
Set overall strategy for the acquisition, hygiene and nurturing of data used in all campaigns
Work with functional owners (e.g. Telemarketing and Lead Generation) along with the senior management to assess data needs and the “gap” toward meeting those needs
Drive business development of new data deals and other forms of adding/hygiening our data
Define plans for the enrichment of current and new sources, whether through vendors, tools and/or Research
Drive new ways of thinking about Demand Data – as fuel, as an asset, as a tool, as part of the solution and as an engine of business growth
Set and measure the performance of the demand data, data research and data operations teams in terms of business and production
Develop new, data-driven business opportunities, such as exhaust data trades, collection of intent data, telemarketing contact discovery and partnerships
Pursue options for Demand Data breakthroughs, such as strategic partnerships, technology advantage and new economic models
Drive overall success of Data-driven lines of business by ensuring full team utilization, high conversion rates etc.
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong experience and network with data vendors, particularly B2B CRM data
Experience managing either a P&L or a business development pipeline in the data space
Experience putting together business cases and negotiating deal terms to ensure best possible return for all “deals”
Understanding of CRM data processing flows to ensure sufficient, quality data for such operations as marketing, sales, telemarketing
Familiarity with the vendors and tools that ensure the best data quality and results
Management experience with both production and technical aspects of data handling
Strong comfort with preparing and presenting market and financial analyses to senior management and investors, as well as supporting functional managers with “sufficient” data for their business needs
